THE UNITED STATES<\/i> (Inside the Struggle to Stop a President).<\/p>\n<p>What is interesting how this very chatty review <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/08\/31\/books\/review\/donald-trump-v-the-united-states-michael-s-schmidt.html\">completely buries the lede<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>11 paragraphs, and this waits until the penultimate paragraph before this reveal:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: blue;\">More interesting, however, is the constant flow of shocking anecdotes: Schmidt writes that Mitch McConnell fell asleep during a classified briefing on Russia, for example, and he details the F.B.I.\u2019s shambolic reaction to evidence of the hacking in 2016, including an unresolved disagreement over how to handle the material.
