{"id":177168,"date":"2019-12-04T20:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-12-05T01:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2019\/12\/04\/preach-it-brother\/"},"modified":"2019-12-04T20:00:00","modified_gmt":"2019-12-05T01:00:00","slug":"preach-it-brother","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2019\/12\/04\/preach-it-brother\/","title":{"rendered":"Preach It Brother!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-SC) has said that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcclatchydc.com\/news\/politics-government\/congress\/article237826049.html\">he wants the clear evidence of obstruction of justice in the Mueller report included in the impeachment charges<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: blue;\">The third most senior House Democrat wants a vote on articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump \u2014 and the charges against him to include obstruction of justice related to the findings of former special counsel Robert Mueller\u2019s investigation.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">That controversial strategic position, laid out by House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn, D-S.C., in a brief interview with McClatchy on Tuesday evening, is the strongest and most decisive statement yet by a member of the House Democratic leadership team.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">It also comes amid a hushed internal debate over how best to proceed.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">Speaker Nancy Pelosi\u2019s top lieutenants have, until this point, been circumspect about their intentions, even as the party\u2019s impeachment inquiry heads into its final stages.
