{"id":177290,"date":"2019-10-31T18:35:00","date_gmt":"2019-10-31T23:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2019\/10\/31\/its-on\/"},"modified":"2019-10-31T18:35:00","modified_gmt":"2019-10-31T23:35:00","slug":"its-on","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2019\/10\/31\/its-on\/","title":{"rendered":"It&#8217;s On"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The House of Representatives just <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/national-security\/house-to-vote-on-rules-governing-next-phase-of-trump-impeachment-inquiry\/2019\/10\/31\/bc2f5e7a-fbcc-11e9-ac8c-8eced29ca6ef_story.html\">voted along almost completely partisan lines to formally initiate public impeachment proceedings<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m concerned that the impeachment investigation is too narrowly focused, after all, he is mobbed up, obstructed justice, evaded taxes, etc.<\/p>\n<p>If you are going to have public hearings, you don&#8217;t want to limit yourself.<\/p>\n<p>One other note:  2 Democrats, Collin Peterson (D-MN) and Jeff Van Drew (D-NJ), voted against the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>I understand that they are from districts that Trump won, but <b>NONE<\/b> of the people who would be upset about the investigation would <b>EVER<\/b> vote Democrat.<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s more, while I can see having a difference of opinion on the actual impeachment vote, the case for an investigation is the proverbial &#8220;slam dunk&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Their careers need to be ended.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The House of Representatives just voted along almost completely partisan lines to formally initiate public impeachment proceedings.
