A key Democrat admitted as much Thursday. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is formal impeachment proceedings,\u201d the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2019\/08\/08\/politics\/jerry-nadler-impeachment-inquiry\/index.html\">told CNN<\/a> on Thursday, after weeks of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2019\/06\/03\/house-democratic-leaders-jiu-jitsu-whether-they-support-impeachment\/\">dancing around<\/a> whether his committee would formally consider impeaching Trump. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are investigating all the evidence, gathering the evidence,\u201d Nadler added. \u201cAnd we will [at the] conclusion of this \u2014 hopefully by the end of the year \u2014 vote to vote articles of impeachment to the House floor. Or we won\u2019t. That\u2019s a decision that we\u2019ll have to make. But that\u2019s exactly the process we\u2019re in right now.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>His statement makes clear what a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/context\/read-the-document-house-judiciary-committee-v-donald-f-mcgahn-ii\/2b7d3899-ac49-4523-89af-8b80fbbcbfcd\/\">lawsuit<\/a> filed Wednesday by his committee states: that the \u201cJudiciary Committee is now determining whether to recommend articles of impeachment against the President based on the obstructive conduct described by the Special Counsel.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I would also suggest looking into tax evasion, fraud, and mob connections.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler has announced that his committee is conducting an impeachment inquiry of Trump.
