Gun control has been near the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/house-judiciary-gun-violence-prevention-hearing-54e43ff8-6e32-4449-a95a-c65940455e96.html\">top of the Democratic<\/a> agenda since the party took back control of the House in November&#8217;s midterms, galvanized by recent mass shootings and student-led activism.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\">Details: The bill, HR 8, also prohibits firearms transfers by a person who is not a licensed dealer.
