The Twitter reaction was like something out of 28 Days Later: mobs of Trump-exhausted Americans <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=VVnz6hlC3pQ\">sprinting<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/davidsirota\/status\/1090255293999534086\">bite<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/thehill\/status\/1090264326915518464\">his<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/renato_mariotti\/status\/1090266254252826625\">face<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jonfavs\/status\/1090260238446424065\">off<\/a>. At a bookstore appearance for his new memoir, a heckler <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ABC\/status\/1090241505405497344\">shouted<\/a> \u201cGo back to Davos!\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Why the severe reaction? Schultz openly declared his decision to run as an Independent was based on the idea that he\u2019d have to \u201clean left\u201d to win the Democratic nomination.
