{"id":179613,"date":"2017-12-17T20:22:00","date_gmt":"2017-12-18T01:22:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2017\/12\/17\/son-of-brexit\/"},"modified":"2017-12-17T20:22:00","modified_gmt":"2017-12-18T01:22:00","slug":"son-of-brexit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2017\/12\/17\/son-of-brexit\/","title":{"rendered":"Son of Brexit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In Italy, the 5-Star Party has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-italy-euro-5-star\/italy-5-star-party-keeps-option-on-euro-referendum-open-idUSKBN1EB0S9\">said that it is open to holding a referendum on leaving the Euro Zone<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: blue;\">The leader of Italy\u2019s main opposition party said he was keeping the option of a referendum on the euro open in the event his party won elections and failed to convince Brussels of the need to change some of the euro zone\u2019s economic rules. <\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span> <span style=\"color: blue;\">In comments made on state TV on Sunday, Luigi Di Maio, the man widely tipped to be the candidate for prime minister of the anti-establishment 5-Star Movement, said he wanted to negotiate concessions on EU governance.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span> <span style=\"color: blue;\">\u201cIf we succeed, Europe will be changed and we won\u2019t need a referendum on the euro.
