Luckily, NASA and the University of  Hawaii have been all over this, funding <a href=\"http:\/\/gizmodo.com\/year-long-simulation-of-humans-living-on-mars-comes-to-1785865918#_ga=2.96505183.1747412331.1505318059-1673279382.1504834612\" rel=\"nofollow\">several successful iterations<\/a> of an experiment called Hawaii Space Exploration Analog and Simulation  (HI-SEAS), in which a crew of \u201castronauts\u201d live in Mars-like conditions  in a dome on a Hawaiian volcano.
