We all may need to stretch  our legs a bit more if Amtrak decides to pack in more seats.<\/p>\n<p>The outgoing co-chief executive of Amtrak says the rail system \u2014  which is in need of a major financial boost \u2014 is thinking about possibly  making it less comfortable in economy class by adding additional seats,  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-usa-amtrak-idUSKBN19X2UJ\">Reuters<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n<p>He didn\u2019t just say that Amtrak is considering adding more seats; he outright admitted that tightening up seat pitch \u2014 the distance between the seatback and the seat in front of it \u2014 is just one \u201ccreative\u201d change under consideration that could make things worse for passengers. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere will be some other things that just don\u2019t make it quite as comfortable,\u201d Wick Moorman told reporters at a National Press Club talk this week. <\/p>\n<p>Cramped seating is likely nothing new for Amtrak\u2019s recent hire, <b><span style=\"font-size: 100%; font-variant: small-caps;\">former Delta Air Lines CEO<\/span><\/b> Richard Anderson.
