{"id":180308,"date":"2017-05-26T20:45:00","date_gmt":"2017-05-27T01:45:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2017\/05\/26\/incompetent-preening-narcissist\/"},"modified":"2017-05-26T20:45:00","modified_gmt":"2017-05-27T01:45:00","slug":"incompetent-preening-narcissist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2017\/05\/26\/incompetent-preening-narcissist\/","title":{"rendered":"Incompetent Preening Narcissist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A few days back, I noted news reports that said that Comey&#8217;s rather unconventional behavior regarding Hillary&#8217;s emails was <a href=\"http:\/\/40yrs.blogspot.com\/2017\/05\/it-looks-like-russian-intelligence-made.html\">driven by a document that was almost certainly a Russian forgery<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Clearly, this must have offended Comey and his Evil Minions<sup>\u2122<\/sup> at the FBI, because now they are saying that, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2017\/05\/26\/politics\/james-comey-fbi-investigation-fake-russian-intelligence\/index.html\">Comey knew that the documents were fake, and acted on them because he did not want people saying bad things about him<\/a>: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: blue;\">Then-FBI Director James Comey knew that a critical piece of information relating to the investigation into Hillary Clinton&#8217;s email was fake &#8212; created by Russian intelligence &#8212; but he feared that if it became public it would undermine the probe and the Justice Department itself, according to multiple officials with knowledge of the process.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">As a result, Comey acted unilaterally last summer to publicly declare the investigation over &#8212; without consulting then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch &#8212; while at the same time stating that Clinton had been &#8220;extremely careless&#8221; in her handling of classified information.
