(He will forever be associated with the infamous bathroom bill)<\/div>\n<p>Here&#8217;s how to fix this, don&#8217;t be a bigot in the first place:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: cyan;\"><span style=\"color: blue;\">Former Gov. Pat McCrory says the backlash against House Bill 2 is making some employers reluctant to hire him but he\u2019s currently doing consulting and advisory board work.<\/p>\n<p>McCrory has been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsobserver.com\/news\/politics-government\/state-politics\/article135226129.html\">appearing frequently in interviews with national media outlets<\/a> to defend the controversial LGBT law, but he hasn\u2019t announced what\u2019s next for his career. In <a href=\"https:\/\/world.wng.org\/podcast\/listeningin\">a podcast interview recently with WORLD<\/a>, an Asheville-based evangelical Christian news website, McCrory talked about his challenges on the job market.<\/p>\n<p>The former Republican governor says HB2 \u201chas impacted me to this day, even after I left office. People are reluctant to hire me, because, \u2018oh my gosh, he\u2019s a bigot\u2019 \u2013 which is the last thing I am.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McCrory explained more about his current situation in an interview Monday evening with The News &amp; Observer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve currently accepted several opportunities in business to do work that I\u2019d done prior to becoming governor in consulting and advisory board positions, and I\u2019ve also been exploring other opportunities in academia, nonprofits and government,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd I\u2019ll hopefully be making some of those decisions in the near future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McCrory declined to name the companies he\u2019s working for. But the former governor said that he\u2019s been considered for part-time university teaching positions \u2013 he wouldn\u2019t say where \u2013 but that academic leaders \u201chave shown reluctance because of student protests.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>HB2 was bigotry, and you endorsed it, and supported it at every opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>You are a bigot, perhaps tyh best known bigot in North Carolina, and these days, people don&#8217;t want to be publicly associated with bigots.<\/p>\n<p>You had a choice, and you went with folks who hate.<\/p>\n<p>Live with the consequences.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory is having a sad, because nobody wants to hire someone whose name is synonymous with bigotry.
