No US  government entity has run an independent forensic analysis on the  system, one US intelligence official told BuzzFeed News.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">\u201cThe DNC  had several meetings with representatives of the FBI\u2019s Cyber Division  and its Washington (DC) Field Office, the Department of Justice\u2019s  National Security Division, and U.S. Attorney\u2019s Offices, and it  responded to a variety of requests for cooperation, but <i>the FBI never requested access to the DNC\u2019s computer servers,\u201d<\/i> Eric Walker, the DNC\u2019s deputy communications director, told BuzzFeed News in an email.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">The  FBI has instead relied on computer forensics from a third-party tech  security company, CrowdStrike, which first determined in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crowdstrike.com\/blog\/bears-midst-intrusion-democratic-national-committee\/\">March<\/a>  of last year that the DNC\u2019s servers had been infiltrated by  Russia-linked hackers, the U.S. intelligence official told BuzzFeed  News.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">\u201cCrowdStrike is pretty good.
