{"id":181693,"date":"2016-04-11T19:44:00","date_gmt":"2016-04-12T00:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2016\/04\/11\/it-will-still-be-assol-or-asslaw\/"},"modified":"2016-04-11T19:44:00","modified_gmt":"2016-04-12T00:44:00","slug":"it-will-still-be-assol-or-asslaw","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2016\/04\/11\/it-will-still-be-assol-or-asslaw\/","title":{"rendered":"It will Still Be #ASSoL or #ASSLaw"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It appears that in response to the internet discovering the potential initials of the Antonin Scalia School of Law, <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.wsj.com\/law\/2016\/04\/05\/george-mason-tinkers-with-name-of-scalia-law-school-to-avoid-awkward-acronym\/\">George Mason is attempting a re-branding<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: blue;\">Days after George Mason University\u2019s law school <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.wsj.com\/law\/2016\/03\/31\/george-mason-university-to-rename-law-school-after-justice-antonin-scalia\/\">announced<\/a>&nbsp;that  it was renaming itself after Justice Antonin Scalia, the school is  slightly adjusting what it\u2019s calling itself \u2014 thanks to unforeseen and  unfortunate wordplay.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: blue;\">The name, officially, remains \u201cThe Antonin  Scalia School of Law at George Mason University\u201d in honor of the late  justice who died in February.
