Bernie Sanders from a new attack by the head of Goldman Sachs \u2014 a Wall Street behemoth whose executives have delivered hundreds of thousands of dollars to Hillary Clinton, her presidential campaign and her family\u2019s foundation.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">In an interview with International Business Times hours before Wednesday night\u2019s Democratic town hall in New Hampshire, the Massachusetts senator \u2014 whose endorsement is coveted by both Democratic candidates \u2014 slammed Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein for asserting earlier in the day that Sanders\u2019 criticism of Wall Street had created a dangerous environment in America.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">&#8220;He thinks it\u2019s fine to prosecute small business owners, it\u2019s fine to go hard after individuals who have no real resources, but don\u2019t criticize companies like Goldman Sachs and their very, very important CEO \u2014 that\u2019s what he\u2019s really saying,\u201d Warren told IBT.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">In January, Sanders pointed to billionaire Blankfein as a prime example of the corporate greed he says is harming the United States. Sanders also released a television ad in which he slammed Goldman Sachs by name, and he has criticized Clinton, a former senator and secretary of state, for accepting $675,000 of speaking fees and $930,000 of campaign contributions from the firm and its executives during her career. Goldman Sachs has donated at least $250,000 to her family\u2019s foundation \u2014 which in 2014 held a donor meeting at the company\u2019s Manhattan headquarters.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">Blankfein responded to Sanders\u2019 criticism on Wednesday in an appearance on CNBC, saying the intensity of the criticism created an environment that \u201chas the potential to be a dangerous moment \u2014 not just for Wall Street, not just for the people who are particularly targeted, but for anybody who is a little bit out of line.\u201d<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">Warren, a Democrat, disputed that notion in harsh terms, telling IBT that such statements show why American voters should focus on Wall Street\u2019s power during the 2016 election.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">\u201cWhen Blankfein says that criticizing those who break the rules is dangerous to the economy, then he\u2019s just repeating another variation of \u2018too big to fail,\u2019 \u2018too big to jail,\u2019 &#8216;too big even to prosecute,&#8217;\u201d she said. \u201cThat tells you here we are, seven years after the crisis and these guys still don\u2019t get it. Seven years. That crisis cost an estimated $14 trillion, it cost jobs, it cost homes, it cost retirement funds. And Lloyd Blankfein stands up and says \u2018Don\u2019t even criticize me, I ran a company that was right at the heart of some of the biggest financial frauds in history and made money off it, but don\u2019t you dare criticize me.\u2019 That\u2019s his position?
