{"id":181945,"date":"2016-02-02T21:47:00","date_gmt":"2016-02-03T02:47:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2016\/02\/02\/told-ya-so\/"},"modified":"2016-02-02T21:47:00","modified_gmt":"2016-02-03T02:47:00","slug":"told-ya-so","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2016\/02\/02\/told-ya-so\/","title":{"rendered":"Told Ya So"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday, I suggested that we <a href=\"http:\/\/40yrs.blogspot.com\/2016\/02\/iowa-caucuses.html\">wait a couple of days to see what the final vote tally in Iowa<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Today, we hear that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.desmoinesregister.com\/story\/news\/elections\/presidential\/caucus\/2016\/02\/02\/some-democratic-precinct-results-unaccounted\/79682184\/\">votes are still trickling in<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: blue;\">Votes from one precinct in Iowa were still missing Tuesday morning, and Democrats from that neighborhood scrambled to find party officials so that they could report their tally: Bernie Sanders won by 2 delegates over Hillary Clinton.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">With Des Moines precinct No. 42&#8217;s results, Clinton&#8217;s excruciatingly close lead narrowed further, making the final tally for delegate equivalents in the Democratic Iowa caucuses:<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">Clinton: 699.57<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">Sanders: 697.77.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">It quickly raised questions about whether Sanders had won the popular vote in Iowa.
