{"id":182014,"date":"2016-01-17T22:59:00","date_gmt":"2016-01-18T03:59:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2016\/01\/17\/my-take-on-the-democratic-debates\/"},"modified":"2016-01-17T22:59:00","modified_gmt":"2016-01-18T03:59:00","slug":"my-take-on-the-democratic-debates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2016\/01\/17\/my-take-on-the-democratic-debates\/","title":{"rendered":"My Take on the Democratic Debates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I missed the first 20 minutes, so this effects my review of the debate.<\/p>\n<p>My two big take-aways are that but this debate was far more combative than any of the prior encounters, and that the debate moderators were trying <b>very<\/b> hard to <b>completely<\/b> ignore Martin O&#8217;Malley.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of performance, I think that Clinton is a more accomplished debater, but that Sanders challenged her honesty, which is, and remains a weak point with the voters.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not sure how this is going to pay out.<\/p>\n<p>My guess is that the press will declare it a Cinton victory. <\/p>\n<p>but I do want to say that the decision by Debbie Wasserman-Schultz to schedule this debate opposite the NFL playoffs, much like her decision to schedule an earlier debate on the Saturday before Christmas.<\/p>\n<p>DWS really needs to be fired.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I missed the first 20 minutes, so this effects my review of the debate.
