I am enjoying this immensely:<\/div>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: blue;\">New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo\u2019s administration is blocking the release of details about transactions between the state and the governor\u2019s top campaign donor. The state\u2019s housing agency says it cannot release the documents because it is \u201ccooperating\u201d with a federal prosecutor\u2019s probe of financial relationships between New York lawmakers and campaign donors in the real estate industry who have business before the state. <\/p>\n<p>In rejecting an open-records request, New York officials disclosed the Cuomo administration\u2019s connection to the probe: The letter denying the request specifically cited an exemption for documents involved in a law enforcement investigation. That is apparently the first time New York state officials have acknowledged Cuomo\u2019s housing agency &#8212; as opposed to just state legislators &#8212; is involved in the investigation. <\/p>\n<p>In recent months, the federal probe of influence peddling in Albany has resulted in the arrests of the New York legislature\u2019s top Republican, Dean Skelos, and top Democrat, Sheldon Silver &#8212; the latter of which was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crainsnewyork.com\/article\/20150122\/BLOGS04\/150129937\/charges-against-speaker-point-to-leonard-litwin\">charged<\/a> with using his office to help his real estate industry donors. The new letter from Cuomo\u2019s housing agency, which was obtained by International Business Times, moves to prevent the release of documents detailing state-supported loans to the real estate firm of Leonard Litwin. He gave more than <a href=\"http:\/\/www.capitalnewyork.com\/article\/albany\/2015\/01\/8560836\/developer-linked-silver-case-tops-2014-donor-list\">$1 million<\/a> to Cuomo\u2019s Democratic gubernatorial campaign and is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/01\/26\/nyregion\/developer-who-keeps-low-profile-is-embroiled-in-silver-scandal.html\">widely believed<\/a> to be a central figure in the Silver case.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;I am <b>so<\/b> hoping that this rat f%$# gets caught up in the US Attorney&#8217;s dragnet in Albany.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In addition to what seems to be the whole New York State legislature being under federal investigation, they are looking Andrew Cuomo\u2019s sweet heart real estate deals.
