(To its shame, the <i>New York Times<\/i> does not mention this in the obit)<\/p>\n<p>We have developed a regime where anyone can be harassed, and likely convicted, basically for being &#8220;troublesome.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The term I used a while back, &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/40yrs.blogspot.com\/2013\/01\/live-in-obedient-fear-citizen.html\"><b><span style=\"font-variant: small-caps;\">Live in Obedient Fear, Citizen<\/span><\/b><\/a>,&#8221; describes this phenomenon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aaron Swartz, age 26, suicide.
