{"id":183808,"date":"2012-11-12T19:00:00","date_gmt":"2012-11-13T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2012\/11\/12\/who-knew-that-i-would-be-the-proprietor-of-a-cat-house\/"},"modified":"2012-11-12T19:00:00","modified_gmt":"2012-11-13T00:00:00","slug":"who-knew-that-i-would-be-the-proprietor-of-a-cat-house","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2012\/11\/12\/who-knew-that-i-would-be-the-proprietor-of-a-cat-house\/","title":{"rendered":"Who Knew that I Would Be the Proprietor of a Cat House?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i.imgur.com\/e7iEF.jpg\" style=\"cursor: pointer; float: right; margin: 0px 0px 10px 10px;\" width=\"275\" \/>No, I don&#8217;t mean a house of prostitution, I mean a house for cats.<\/p>\n<p>You may recall that I <a href=\"http:\/\/40yrs.blogspot.com\/2012\/02\/i-have-cat-infestation.html\">have a bit of a cat infestation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We have still been unable to figure out how the cat is getting in, so I&#8217;m attempting to provide an alternative place to escape the weather.<\/p>\n<p>The first floor overhangs the basement by about 2 feet, so I&#8217;ve used some plywood to make a shelter, where we can set out food, and the feral cats in the neighborhood can shelter there.<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully RP, the cat that has found a way to break into our house, will find this a suitable alternative, and stay the F%$# out of my house.<\/p>\n<p>(<i>on edit<\/i>)<\/p>\n<p>I added a picture of the little cat shelter.  It&#8217;s not painted, but the cats don&#8217;t care.<\/p>\n<p>Also, as to the folks that would argue that my making a cat-house would be giving into terrorists, all I can say is, &#8220;Welcome to life with cats.&#8221;  It <b>is<\/b> what it means to love cats.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>No, I don&#8217;t mean a house of prostitution, I mean a house for cats.
