{"id":183880,"date":"2012-10-25T19:30:00","date_gmt":"2012-10-26T00:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2012\/10\/25\/the-poker-term-for-this-a-tell\/"},"modified":"2012-10-25T19:30:00","modified_gmt":"2012-10-26T00:30:00","slug":"the-poker-term-for-this-a-tell","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2012\/10\/25\/the-poker-term-for-this-a-tell\/","title":{"rendered":"The Poker Term for this a &#8220;Tell&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The fact that the Texas Attorney General is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rawstory.com\/rs\/2012\/10\/24\/texas-attorney-general-threatens-to-arrest-international-election-monitors\/\">threatening to arrest international election monitors if they monitor elections<\/a> would appear to indicate that he knows that his fellow Republicans are :<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: blue;\">The Texas attorney general, Greg Abbott, has threatened to arrest international election monitors invited by liberal groups to observe the conduct of next month\u2019s presidential vote in states accused of attempting to disenfranchise minorities.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">Abbott has written to the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe warning that its monitors have no right to monitor the vote even though they have observed previous US elections.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">\u201cThe OSCE\u2019s representatives are not authorized by Texas law to enter a polling place.
