NATO and Afghan troops responded with barrages of bullets. At least 6 people were killed and 19 wounded.<\/p>\n<p>Early Wednesday morning, occasional explosions could still be heard, and the Kabul police said they were continuing to count the number of dead insurgents. The Interior Ministry said Tuesday that it appeared that at least seven had entered the city. At least five took positions in a 14-story building under construction with clear sight lines to the targets.<\/p>\n<p>As the gunfire pounded, loudspeakers at nearby embassies kept repeating: \u201cThis is not a drill, this is not a drill.
