{"id":185563,"date":"2014-10-09T20:36:00","date_gmt":"2014-10-10T01:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2014\/10\/09\/not-this-sh-again-6\/"},"modified":"2014-10-09T20:36:00","modified_gmt":"2014-10-10T01:36:00","slug":"not-this-sh-again-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2014\/10\/09\/not-this-sh-again-6\/","title":{"rendered":"Not this Sh%$ Again!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i.imgur.com\/lrsZmVW.jpg\" style=\"cursor: pointer; float: right; margin: 0px 0px 10px 10px;\" \/>The so-called &#8220;moderate&#8221; Syrian rebels are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2014\/oct\/09\/syria-isis-bashar-al-assad-coalition-air-strikes\">complaining that actions against ISIS are aiding the Assad regime<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: blue;\">But the Syrian president\u2019s ability to continue to attack his enemies without interference is fuelling anger amongst mainstream opposition supporters. \u201cSyrian warplanes used to shell us two or three times a week but now they target us every day thanks to the coalition forces,\u201d Faris Samir, from Harm in the northern Idlib region, complained on Thursday.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span> <span style=\"color: blue;\">\u201cWe are losing martyrs and many get injured but no one pays any attention. Now the Syrian army is taking areas bombed by the coalition forces after the Islamic factions withdraw. I have to say that the coalition military campaign is in the interest of the Syrian regime and against the Syrian people.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I offer the &#8220;mainstream opposition&#8221;<sup>*<\/sup> a hearty f%$# you.<\/p>\n<p>Get your war on if you want, but the actions against ISIS have nothing to do with your goal of overthrowing Assad.<\/p>\n<p>I would argue that the gross incompetence of the &#8220;mainstream opposition&#8221;, which created an opening for sectarian governments to ship foreign Jihadis to Syria aid was a major contributing factor in the creation of ISIS.<\/p>\n<p>Seriously.&nbsp; Go f%$# yourself.<\/p>\n<p>While we are at it, let us remember the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.military-quotes.com\/forum\/niccolo-machiavelli-quotes-t7763.html\">advice of Machiavelli<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: blue;\">A  prince should therefore be slow in  undertaking any enterprise upon the  representations of exiles, for he  will generally gain nothing by it but  shame and serious injury.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Free Syrian Army should be viewed through this lens.<\/p>\n<p><sup>*<\/sup><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\">Not sure how moderate these folks are.
