But so far, no Ebola cases have turned up.<\/p>\n<p>The latest episode involved a man who had recently been to West Africa, and who went to the emergency room at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan late Sunday with a high fever and gastrointestinal problems, the hospital reported on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>He is being kept in isolation at the hospital while tests are being done for Ebola, a deadly disease, but also for other illnesses that could have caused his symptoms.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yeah, it <b>would<\/b> be the 9<sup>th<\/sup> of Av.<\/p>\n<p>Remind me not to eat any bat soup.<\/p>\n<p><sup>*<\/sup><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\">It is <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tisha_B%27Av\">Tisha B&#8217;Av<\/a>, the 9<sup>th<\/sup> day of the Hebrew month Av, and a small subset of the nasty bits of Jewish history follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\">The report of the spies from Canaan, resulting in the people of Israel spending <i><a href=\"http:\/\/40yrs.blogspot.com\/\">40 Years in the Desert<\/a>. <\/i><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\">The destruction of the 1<sup>st<\/sup> Temple.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\">The destruction of the 2nd Temple.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\">The Romans razed Betar, killing 100,000 Jews.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\">The Romans plowed the temple mount.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\">The start of the 1<sup>st<\/sup> Crusade.&nbsp; (<i>You see it as a coming together of Christendom.&nbsp; I see it as a pogrom with years of murder and rape.<\/i>)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\">The expulsion of Jews from England.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\">The expulsion of Jews from France.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\">The expulsion of Jews from Spain. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\">Germany entered the WW I.
