Their reason?<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: blue;\">In a blog post, Richard Domingues, assistant general counsel for the Microsoft digital crimes unit, said Microsoft pursued the seizure for No-IP&#8217;s role &#8220;in creating, controlling, and assisting in infecting millions of computers with malicious software\u2014harming Microsoft, its customers and the public at large.&#8221; He added: &#8220;We&#8217;re taking No-IP to task <b><span style=\"font-size: 110%; font-variant: small-caps;\">as the owner of infrastructure frequently exploited by cybercriminals to infect innocent victims<\/span><\/b> with the Bladeabindi (NJrat) and Jenxcus (NJw0rm) family of malware.&#8221;<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>(<i>emphasis mine<\/i>)<\/p>\n<p>To quote the great Anna Russell, &#8220;I&#8217;m Not Making This Up, You Know.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Seriously, &#8220;Zero Day&#8221; <b>Microsoft<\/b>, the creater of of Windows<sup>\u2122<\/sup>, is complaining about someone being the &#8220;Owner of infrastructure frequently exploited by cybercriminals to infect innocent victims?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Really?<\/p>\n<p>The irony here is stunning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Microsoft filed a lawsuit to seize domains from No-IP.com.
