We also know, thanks to Dan Froomkin, that John Brennan <a href=\"https:\/\/firstlook.org\/theintercept\/2014\/03\/12\/calls-brennans-ouster-emerge-along-details-cia-search-senate-computers\/\">wrote a letter admitting that they hacked into the Senate staffers&#8217; computers<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: blue;\">Brennan, in his <a href=\"http:\/\/hotair.com\/archives\/2014\/03\/12\/brennan-we-wouldnt-do-a-tremendous-amount-of-spying-hacking-and-monitoring-of-congress\/\">own remarks<\/a>  after Feinstein\u2019s speech on Tuesday, vaguely ridiculed allegations of  CIA \u201chacking\u201d and said that \u201cwhen the facts come out on this, I think a  lot of people who are claiming that there has been this tremendous sort  of spying and monitoring and hacking will be proved wrong.\u201d But nothing  he said actually disputed Feinstein\u2019s version of events.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span> <span style=\"color: blue;\">And as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.techdirt.com\/articles\/20140312\/11274826550\/cia-director-tries-to-release-his-side-senate-spying-scandal-actually-confirms-feinsteins-accusations.shtml\">Michael Masnick<\/a> reported for Techdirt, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.documentcloud.org\/documents\/1078002-brennanltrrereview.html\">January 27 letter<\/a> to Feinstein that Brennan &nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/blogs\/under-the-radar\/2014\/03\/brennan-defends-cia-in-staff-message-184936.html?hp=l10\">sent out to CIA staff<\/a>  on Tuesday <b><span style=\"font-size: 100%; font-variant: small-caps;\">actually confirmed the search<\/span><\/b>, though Brennan described it \u2014  and the need for it \u2014 in the context of concern about a security  breach:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: blue;\">Because we were concerned that there may be a breach or  vulnerability in the system for housing highly classified documents, CIA  conducted a limited review to determine whether these files were  located on the SSCI [Senate Select Committee on Intelligence] side of  the CIA network and reviewed audit data to determine whether anyone had  accessed the files, which would have been unauthorized.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"color: blue;\">And he said he wasn\u2019t done. \u201cOnly completion of the security review  will answer how SSCI staff came into possession of the documents,\u201d he  wrote, saying that he had only \u201ctemporarily\u201d suspended further action  until getting Feinstein\u2019s consent.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span> <span style=\"color: blue;\">The \u201cbreach\u201d in question concerned the committee staff\u2019s possession  of an internal CIA review of the materials the agency had previously  turned over to Feinstein\u2019s committee during the course of the four-year  congressional investigation into the Bush-era torture practices.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>What is Barack Obama&#8217;s response?&nbsp; Seriously?&nbsp; How can this <b>not<\/b> be a matter that you need to &#8220;wade into at this point&#8221;?<\/p>\n<p>You are the HMFIC.<sup>*<\/sup>&nbsp; Do your F%$#ing job, and take charge!<\/p>\n<p>The chief counsel of the CIA&#8217;s review of the Senate report is a <b>subject of the investigation<\/b> whose name is mentioned 1600 times.<\/p>\n<p>This person also attempted to intimidate Senate staffers by filing a bogus criminal complaint.<\/p>\n<p>And the head of the CIA, John Brennan is saying that everything is hunky-dory.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"font-size: 130%; font-variant: small-caps;\">You are F%$#ing President of the F%$#ing United States of F%$#ing America<\/span><\/b>.&nbsp; How the <b><span style=\"font-size: 130%; font-variant: small-caps;\">F%$<\/span><\/b> is this not your <b><span style=\"font-size: 130%; font-variant: small-caps;\">F%$#ing<\/span><\/b> job?<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t care how F%$#ing awsome you F%$#ing think you F%$#ing are, your mere existence does not constitute the &#8220;Hope&#8221; or the &#8220;Change&#8221;
