(A man is assertive, and a woman is a bitch, etc.)<\/p>\n<p>At a political staple of Kentucky politics, a barbecue at a small hamlet known as Fancy Farm, <a href=\"http:\/\/tv.msnbc.com\/2013\/08\/03\/fancy-farm-kicks-off-kentucky-senate-slugfest\/\">Grimes let fly<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: blue;\">But in her speech, Grimes didn\u2019t shy from attacking McConnell directly, painting him as an obstructionist who\u2019s been in Washington too long, as her own supporters chanted, \u201cDitch Mitch.\u201d<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span> <span style=\"color: blue;\">\u201cIf the doctors told Sen. McConnell that he had a kidney stone, he\u2019d refuse to pass it,\u201d Grimes said, in her most memorable zinger of her six-minute speech.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span> <span style=\"color: blue;\">While McConnell left after his likely Democratic opponents\u2019 speech, not staying to hear his GOP primary opponent at the end of the program, Grimes welcomed Bevin to the race, joking that he was glad to see the \u201cGOP nominee had shown up.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>That is going to leave a mark!<\/p>\n<p><sup>*<\/sup><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\">A couple of Churchill&#8217;s more famous insults:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: blue;\"><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\">One day shortly after the Second World War ended, Winston Churchill and Labour Party Prime Minister Clement Attlee encountered one another at the urinal trough in the House of Common\u2019s men\u2019s washroom. Attlee arrived first. When Churchill arrived, he stood as far away from him as possible. Attlee said, \u201cFeeling standoffish today, are we, Winston?\u201d Churchill said: \u201cThat\u2019s right. Every time you see something big, you want to nationalize it.\u201d<\/span><\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\"><br \/><\/span><\/span> <span style=\"color: blue;\"><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\">\u2026\u2026\u2026<\/span><\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\"><br \/><\/span><\/span> <span style=\"color: blue;\"><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\"><b>Lady Astor<\/b>: Sir, if you were my husband, I would poison your drink.<\/span><\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\"><b>Churchill<\/b>: Madam, if you were my wife, I would drink it.<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>That&#8217;s Gotta Hurt!
