He takes a picture with the noble freedom fighters.  One small problem: it turns out that two of the guys are <a href=\"http:\/\/nymag.com\/daily\/intelligencer\/2013\/05\/mccain-hopes-he-didnt-pose-with-kidnappers.html\">terrorist who kidnapped religious pilgrims <\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: blue;\">Everything was going relatively smoothly following John McCain&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/nymag.com\/daily\/intelligencer\/2013\/05\/mccain-makes-surprise-visit-to-rebels-in-syria.html\">surprise visit<\/a> to hang out with Syrian rebels this week until Lebanon&#8217;s<i> Daily Star<\/i> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailystar.com.lb\/News\/Middle-East\/2013\/May-30\/218852-mccain-crosses-paths-with-rebel-kidnapper.ashx#axzz2Unjeqck3\">reported<\/a> that one of the &#8220;brave fighters&#8221; pictured on the senator&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SenJohnMcCain\/statuses\/339455679800700928\">Twitter<\/a>  is &#8220;a known affiliate of the rebel group responsible for the kidnapping  of 11 Lebanese Shiite pilgrims one year ago.&#8221; If so, McCain&#8217;s office  said, that would be &#8220;regrettable.&#8221;<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span> <span style=\"color: blue;\">&#8220;According to families of the remaining captives and one of the  released men, Anwar Ibrahim, one of the men standing alongside McCain in  photographs released by the senator&#8217;s office, is Mohammad Nour, the  chief spokesman and photographer for the Northern Storm kidnappers,&#8221;  according to the <i>Daily Star<\/i>. &#8220;Ibrahim and other members of the  kidnapped family said they recognized Nour, and another man affiliated  with the group, also identified as &#8216;Abu Ibrahim,&#8217; immediately after  seeing the photos.&#8221;<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i990.photobucket.com\/albums\/af27\/msaroff\/ohsnap4580806ts7_zps3bb20da3.gif\" style=\"cursor: pointer; float: right; margin: 0px 0px 10px 10px;\" \/>So, John McCain thinks that he knows who the good guys are.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a thought, if you cannot tell who is the good guys are, it&#8217;s best not to choose sides.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>John Sidney McCain III goes to Syria.
