{"id":187232,"date":"2013-05-07T19:29:00","date_gmt":"2013-05-08T00:29:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2013\/05\/07\/whiny-bitches-2\/"},"modified":"2013-05-07T19:29:00","modified_gmt":"2013-05-08T00:29:00","slug":"whiny-bitches-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2013\/05\/07\/whiny-bitches-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Whiny Bitches"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Senate Democrats who are upset because <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/story\/2013\/05\/bloomberg-pryor-gun-control-ads-democrats-90986.html\">some incumbent are catching heat because they completely caved on gun control<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: blue;\">Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid\u2019s aides met recently with staffers of New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg to warn them: Targeting vulnerable Democrats like Arkansas\u2019s Mark Pryor on gun control could backfire on the party, several sources told POLITICO.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">It didn\u2019t work.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">Ads from the Bloomberg-funded Mayors Against Illegal Guns are going up soon in Alaska, Arkansas and North Dakota \u2014 three states with Democratic senators who broke with the White House on last month\u2019s background checks vote.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">The group is also moving as many as 60 field organizers into about a dozen states where senators \u2014 Democrats and Republicans \u2014 voted against bill, with the goal of building infrastructure and countering gun rights groups like the National Rifle Association.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">\u2026\u2026\u2026<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">Bloomberg\u2019s group has made its choice: Its radio spots in Arkansas will target the state\u2019s African-American community, \u201cwithout which Mark Pryor doesn\u2019t have a prayer of getting reelected,\u201d said Mark Glaze, director of Mayors Against Illegal Guns.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">\u2026\u2026\u2026<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: blue;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">Pryor, first elected to the Senate in 2002, claimed he\u2019s not worried about his poor poll numbers or possible challengers, including GOP Rep.
