{"id":188622,"date":"2010-08-22T11:42:00","date_gmt":"2010-08-22T16:42:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2010\/08\/22\/yeah-sure-nothing-to-see-here\/"},"modified":"2010-08-22T11:42:00","modified_gmt":"2010-08-22T16:42:00","slug":"yeah-sure-nothing-to-see-here","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2010\/08\/22\/yeah-sure-nothing-to-see-here\/","title":{"rendered":"Yeah, Sure, Nothing to See Here"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"border: 1px solid black; margin: 0px 10px; padding: 5px; width: 220px; float: right; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/img8.imageshack.us\/img8\/6863\/ali21192100il6.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/img8.imageshack.us\/img8\/6863\/ali21192100il6.jpg\" bordercolor=\"white\" border=\"0\" width=\"210\" \/><\/a> <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Tell Me That You Do Not Believe That This is a Setup<\/span><\/div>\n<p>So, Wikileaks founder Julian Assange goes to Sweden to setup a server, because Swedish laws, and the  <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Constitution_of_Sweden#Public_access_to_governmental_documents\">Swedish concept of Offentlighetsprincipen<\/a> (openness) in the constitution, as well as an offer from the<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Swedish_Pirate_Party\"> Swedish Pirate Party<\/a> to host for him.<\/p>\n<p>Wouldn&#8217;t you know it, Swedish authorities <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/media\/2010\/aug\/21\/julian-assange-wikileaks-arrest-warrant-sweden\">issued a rape warrant against Mr. Assange, and then withdrew the warrant the next day<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It couldn&#8217;t be that the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cia\">CIA<\/a>, the Pentagon (<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Defense_Intelligence_Agency\">DIA<\/a>), or the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Director_of_National_Intelligence\">DNI<\/a> were behind these apparently now bogus charges could it?<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"http:\/\/www.talkleft.com\/story\/2010\/8\/21\/112632\/962#2\">Capt Howdy observes<\/a>, it&#8217;s like we are living in that, &#8220;horrific thru the looking glass universe where Nixon is serving his 5<sup>th<\/sup> term.&#8221; (a <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Watchman<\/span> reference, and yes, it would now be the 11<sup>th<\/sup> term)<\/p>\n<p>As to my legal mind, my guess is that at this moment, some Swedish prosecutor is reviewing the laws on suborning perjury, and hoping that they don&#8217;t apply to him.<\/p>\n<p>As a practical matter, I would suggest that the rest of the folks at Wikileaks start dealing with the &#8220;Julian Assange commits suicide by shooting himself in the head 3 times and then throws himself off a bridge,&#8221; contingency.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tell Me That You Do Not Believe That This is a Setup So, Wikileaks founder Julian Assange goes to Sweden to setup a server, because Swedish laws, and the Swedish concept of Offentlighetsprincipen (openness) in the constitution, as well as an offer from the Swedish Pirate Party to host for him.
