Well, it&#8217;s simple, it fell month to month, but <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/idUSTRE63F2NT20100427?feedType=RSS&amp;feedName=businessNews&amp;utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+reuters%2FbusinessNews+%28News+%2F+US+%2F+Business+News%29\">rose on a year over year basis<\/a>, for the first time since December, 2006.<\/p>\n<p>It may mean that things are bottoming out.<\/p>\n<p>Certainly, it&#8217;s better than the alternative.<\/p>\n<p>Still, the financial crisis looks to remain with us for some time, with <a href=\"http:\/\/money.cnn.com\/2010\/04\/27\/news\/international\/Greece_debt_downgraded\/index.htm?section=money_topstories&amp;utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+rss%2Fmoney_topstories+%28Top+Stories%29\">Greece and Portugal&#8217;s sovereign debt downgraded by Standard &amp; Poors<\/a>, with some of Greece&#8217;s debt now rated as junk bonds.<\/p>\n<p>Unsurprisingly, this has led to a flight to safety and concerns about the recovery, which has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/apps\/news?pid=20601087&amp;sid=ajWHpDWeu3Pg&amp;pos=2\">driven the dollar higher<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/money.cnn.com\/2010\/04\/27\/markets\/oil\/\">oil lower<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>More good news, with the Conference Board&#8217;s consumer confidence index rising in April, and home prices falling in February.
