That, &#8220;We need jobs and growth,&#8221; and that taxes are too high.<\/p>\n<p>Seriously dude, you used to work for <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-variant: small-caps;\">Bear Stearns<\/span><\/span>.  The idea that you are going to somehow create jobs, when you were at the epicenter of an epic collapse that you were in part responsible for is simply ludicrous, but he finishes up with this:<\/p>\n<blockquote style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 153);\"><p>We need financial reform legislation but one that gets us toward more jobs and growth, not one that gets us toward more Washington<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Does he really think that the voters are <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">stupid<\/span> enough to hand him the keys to financial reform?<\/p>\n<p>You know, a campaign slogan of, &#8220;I know how to stop crime, because I was a criminal,&#8221; might sell in Louisiana, but not in New York.<\/p>\n<p>H\/t <a href=\"http:\/\/www.americablog.com\/2010\/03\/former-bear-stearns-economist-to-run.html\">Americablog<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>David Malpass, a former Bear Stearns economist is running for US Senate seat from New York against Kirsten Gillibrand.
