{"id":189806,"date":"2010-02-11T19:00:00","date_gmt":"2010-02-12T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2010\/02\/11\/what-i-did-today\/"},"modified":"2010-02-11T19:00:00","modified_gmt":"2010-02-12T00:00:00","slug":"what-i-did-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2010\/02\/11\/what-i-did-today\/","title":{"rendered":"What I Did Today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I shoveled the f%$#ing driveway, for the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> time in a f%$#ing week.<\/p>\n<p>At least the snow was lighter than the last time, and between the powdery nature of the snow, and the wind we got some of those wind-sculpted funny snow shapes.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">never<\/span> seen this phenomenon this far south before.<\/p>\n<p>Well, At least the snow plows found their way our tertiary road, <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">finally<\/span>, today.<\/p>\n<p>After I was done, and to be fair the kids shoveled a path to the mailbox for us and the mail man, I thought that I deserved a beer, so I drove to the liquor store, and picked up a 6 pack, because, dammit, I deserved a beer.<\/p>\n<p>Took the wife and kids to Java Mama&#8217;s for hot chocolate and sweets,<\/p>\n<p>As to my beer, I bought <a href=\"http:\/\/www.victorybeer.com\/home.aspx\">Victory Brewing Company<\/a>&#8216;s   Hop Devil, which is a nice, and  inexpensive, brew from a small Pennsylvania brewery\/brew pub.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a bit over-hopped, but that&#8217;s kind of obvious from the name, but it&#8217;s from near by and fresh.<\/p>\n<p>On my 2<sup>nd<\/sup> bottle.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I shoveled the f%$#ing driveway, for the 2nd time in a f%$#ing week.
