{"id":190338,"date":"2009-12-08T23:09:00","date_gmt":"2009-12-09T04:09:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2009\/12\/08\/shadenfreude-2\/"},"modified":"2009-12-08T23:09:00","modified_gmt":"2009-12-09T04:09:00","slug":"shadenfreude-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2009\/12\/08\/shadenfreude-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Shadenfreude"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Remember when I talked about the folks at AIG <a href=\"http:\/\/40yrs.blogspot.com\/2009\/12\/dont-let-door-hit-your-ass-on-way-out.html\">who were threatening to leave because the Pay Czar wants to limit their pay to just $\u00bd million<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p>Well, one of the most vociferous opponents of the pay limits, AIG General Counsel, Anastasia Kelly, has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/article\/aig-general-counsel-who-protested-meager-500k-have-her-bluff-called-get-sacked\">been informed that her services are no longer required<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Considering her history, that, &#8220;before joining the bankrupt firm, was a GC at such reputable organizations as MCI\/WorldCon (sic) and Fannie Mae,&#8221; I&#8217;m not sure why <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">anyone<\/span> would require her services <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">ever<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Heh.<\/p>\n<p>As I&#8217;ve said before:  The US government is a majority shareholder in the insurance firm, and as such, it should be making it clear to the board of AIG that they would enforce non-compete agreements to the fullest extent of the law.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Remember when I talked about the folks at AIG who were threatening to leave because the Pay Czar wants to limit their pay to just $\u00bd million?
