Furthermore, the right to confront witnesses against them will be ignored by using a very<\/span> broad hearsay rule, because, according to “senior administration officials” said that although federal courts bar many kinds of hearsay evidence, \u201cthe hearsay rule is not one of those things that is rooted in American values<\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n

The right to confront witnesses in court is one of the most basic of legal rights in our system since the excesses of the Star Chamber<\/a> in England.<\/p>\n
