{"id":192292,"date":"2009-04-20T19:57:00","date_gmt":"2009-04-21T00:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2009\/04\/20\/indian-air-force-says-rafale-remains-in-mmrca-competition\/"},"modified":"2009-04-20T19:57:00","modified_gmt":"2009-04-21T00:57:00","slug":"indian-air-force-says-rafale-remains-in-mmrca-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2009\/04\/20\/indian-air-force-says-rafale-remains-in-mmrca-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"Indian Air Force says Rafale Remains in MMRCA Competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Remember when I said over the weekend that the <a href=\"http:\/\/40yrs.blogspot.com\/2009\/04\/indian-drops-rafale-from-mmrca-trials.html\"><span>Dassault<\/span> <span>Rafale<\/span> had been dropped from the Indian <span>MMRCA<\/span> competition<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p>Well, it appears that the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flightglobal.com\/articles\/2009\/04\/20\/325334\/indian-air-force-says-rafale-still-in-fighter-competition.html\">reports of the French Fighter&#8217;s demise have been exaggerated<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 153);\"><p>The Indian Air Force has denied reports that the <span>Dassault<\/span> <span>Rafale<\/span> has been eliminated from the country\u2019s medium multi-role combat aircraft competition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have not ruled anyone out yet in the <span>MMRCA<\/span> competition,\u201d says an <span>IAF<\/span> spokesman, who confirmed that the service is responsible for evaluating the contenders. \u201cAll of the tests have not been completed. The technical evaluations are only just over and we are scheduled to begin the flight tests next month.
