{"id":193152,"date":"2009-01-15T06:03:00","date_gmt":"2009-01-15T11:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2009\/01\/15\/senior-bush-doj-official-called-perjurer-by-ig\/"},"modified":"2009-01-15T06:03:00","modified_gmt":"2009-01-15T11:03:00","slug":"senior-bush-doj-official-called-perjurer-by-ig","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2009\/01\/15\/senior-bush-doj-official-called-perjurer-by-ig\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior  Bush DoJ Official Called Perjurer by IG"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Justice&#8217;s report on Bradley <span>Schlozman<\/span> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.talkingpointsmemo.com\/archives\/2009\/01\/doj_ig_takes_down_schlozman.php\">is absolutely scathing<\/a>, saying that he:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Illegally applied political standards to career attorney <span>hirings<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>Lied about it to the Senate Judiciary Committee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>But 2 weeks before the new administration, <a href=\"http:\/\/tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com\/2009\/01\/schloz_broke_law_but_wont_face_criminal_charges.php\">no charges will be filed<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>So, we have a flat out statement that he committed perjury, you know the things that the Republicans went Jihad over with Bill Clinton when it was: (a) Arguable, depending on your definition of sex, and (b) Not related to his official duties.<\/p>\n<p>Even so, because Bush and His Evil Minions<sup>\u2122<\/sup> have thoroughly polluted the Justice Department, so the U.S. Attorney&#8217;s Office for the District of Columbia has <a href=\"http:\/\/tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com\/2009\/01\/schloz_broke_law_but_wont_face_criminal_charges.php\">declined to prosecute him<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If anyone out there lives in Kansas, how about filing a complaint with the disciplinary authorities there, because that is <a href=\"http:\/\/tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com\/2009\/01\/no_complaints_filed_against_schlozman_in_kansas.php\">where he is practicing law<\/a>.
