Heller and the sad matter of New York Giants receiver, and sad sack, Plaxico<sup>*<\/sup> Burress, who shot himself with his own unregistered gun in a New York night club:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: blue;\">Which brings us to Plaxico Burress.  Suppose he had applied for a NYC handgun license.  As I read the application materials, he could not have gotten a carry license because he had no reason related to his business to need to carry a handgun. His story that he needed a gun because he wears a lot of expensive bling and carries a lot of cash, while touching, doesn&#8217;t establish a business need. Burress&#8217;s business is catching footballs, and with the <span style=\"font-variant: small-caps; font-weight: bold;\">possible exception of playing the Eagles on the road, would not generally expose him to the risk of armed attack<\/span>.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>(<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">emphasis mine<\/span>)<\/p>\n<p>After cleaning my screen, my thought was, &#8220;<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Ahhh yes&#8230;.Philly sports fans&#8230;.The only people capable of making me feel empathy for former Dallas tight end Michael Irvin<\/span>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><sup>*<\/sup><span style=\"font-size: 78%;\">Ask your physician if Plaxico<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> is right for you.  Nursing and pregnant women and persons with sensitivity to lead should not take Plaxico.<\/span><sup>\u2020<\/sup><br \/><sup>\u2020<\/sup><span style=\"font-size: 78%;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/img100.imageshack.us\/img100\/5331\/logo396177070ch3.jpg\" style=\"cursor: pointer; float: right; margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px;\" width=\"100\" \/>As much as I&#8217;d like to, I cannot claim credit for this line.
