At the core of the melting pot is the idea that once you <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">know<\/span> the other, you will <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">accept<\/span> the other.<\/p>\n<p>Anything else is un-American, and should have no part in our public policy discourse.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/img81.imageshack.us\/img81\/6337\/20081119gix5t449dnag9c3uv4.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Brad Delong finds some graphs that show a big difference between the South and the rest of the nation.
