{"id":196872,"date":"2008-03-18T10:44:00","date_gmt":"2008-03-18T15:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2008\/03\/18\/diarist-strike-at-dailykos\/"},"modified":"2008-03-18T10:44:00","modified_gmt":"2008-03-18T15:44:00","slug":"diarist-strike-at-dailykos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2008\/03\/18\/diarist-strike-at-dailykos\/","title":{"rendered":"Diarist Strike at DailyKos?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>First, in the interest of full disclosure, while I still read there, I have been banned from posting there, <span style=\"font-weight:bold;\">with good cause<\/span>, as I was sock puppeting.<\/p>\n<p>I still read it, truth be told, I think that the diaries are more interesting than the front pagers, but you have perhaps a dozen front pagers, and something like 1000 times as many diarists daily.<\/p>\n<p>I started coming across various comments, some snark, and some serious, and finally tracked this all down to one user <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailykos.com\/storyonly\/2008\/3\/14\/20827\/4727\/132\/476843\">who has announced his withdrawal from Kos for the duration of the nominating process<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>His complaints were justified.  The place has been nuts on this lately.  Hell, so has Americablog, MyDD (on the other side), Oliver Willis, Taylor Marsh, etc&#8230;..<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s make this clear, to quote myself, &#8220;If I had a choice I would vote for a syphilitic goat,&#8221; ahead of any Republican. <\/p>\n<p>The shrillness level, and not just on Kos, regarding the Democratic Party nominations is in-bloody-sane. <\/p>\n<p>Take a chill pill.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>First, in the interest of full disclosure, while I still read there, I have been banned from posting there, with good cause, as I was sock puppeting.
