The <a href=\"http:\/\/uspto.gov\/\">USPTO<\/a> review his research,  and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theregister.co.uk\/2007\/10\/17\/amazon_1-click_patent_ruling\/\">invalidated 21 of 26 of the claims in the patent<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Calveley, whose previous claim to fame is having &#8220;worked as a motion capture performer and appeared as part of the evil armies in Peter Jackson&#8217;s Lord of the Rings&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s amazing what disgruntled customer, <a href=\"http:\/\/igdmlgd.blogspot.com\/\">his blog<\/a>, and a few thousand customers can do.<\/p>\n<p>What is even more amazing is that the USPTO didn&#8217;t punt this whole thing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Peter Calveley of Auckland, New Zealand, after receiving poor service from Amazon, took it upon himself to document the prior art on Amazon&#8217;s one click patent.
