It appears that the dam is causing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theregister.co.uk\/2007\/09\/26\/three_gorges_confession\/\">landslides, plagues of displaced rate, collapses on the shore of the reservoir, etc.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>And in a few years, as the lands that are fertilized by the silt carried in the Yangtze start to grow poor, the silt will now settle in the reservoir,it&#8217;s just going to get worse.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This should surprise no one.
