He is also hooked up with white supremacists online.<\/p>\n

Am I the only one who thinks that this guy is not an isolated case?<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

A former Middle Georgia sheriff\u2019s deputy bragged in text messages with members of an alleged extremist group that he had beaten a Black person he arrested and planned to charge Black Georgians with felonies to keep them from voting, according to an FBI affidavit.<\/p>\n

The ex-Wilkinson County deputy, Cody Richard Griggers, of Montrose, was fired last November after the FBI contacted the sheriff there about an investigation into illegal guns and their alleged ties to a California man said to have made violent political statements on Facebook.<\/p>\n

Griggers, 28, a former Marine, pleaded guilty on Monday in federal court in Macon to one count of possession of an unregistered firearm, a crime the authorities discovered in their probe, which began last summer. He faces a maximum of 10 years in prison when he is sentenced in July.<\/p>\n

Griggers, in the texts, was said to have claimed he was making and gathering illegal firearms and explosives.<\/p>\n

Griggers, who is white, \u201calso expressed viewpoints consistent with racially motivated violent extremism, including the use of racial slurs, slurs against homosexuals and making frequent positive references to the Nazi holocaust,\u201d prosecutors said in a statement on Wednesday announcing Griggers\u2019 plea.<\/p>\n

The prosecutors said that on Nov. 19 last year that the FBI searched Griggers\u2019 patrol car and found a machine gun \u201cwith an obliterated serial number,\u201d a weapon he was not allowed to have in his patrol car.<\/p>\n

It was Griggers\u2019 statements in text messages, however, that most concerned Wilkinson Sheriff Richard Chatman.<\/p>\n

\u201cI beat the (expletive) out of a (racial slur) Saturday. (Expletive) tried to steal (a gun magazine) from the local gun store. … Sheriff\u2019s dept. said it looked like he fell,\u201d the affidavit noted, quoting Griggers.<\/p>\n

Griggers went on to write that the beating was for him \u201csweet stress relief.\u201d<\/p>\n

The affidavit also said Griggers had texted how he \u201cintended to charge black people with felonies in order to keep them from voting<\/span><\/b>.\u201d

\u201cIt\u2019s a sign of beautiful things to come,\u201d he wrote, according to the affidavit. \u201cAlso I\u2019m going to charge them with whatever felonies I can to take away their ability to vote<\/span><\/b>.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Griggers had worked as a deputy in Wilkinson County \u2014 which lies just east of Macon and has a population of about 9,000 people, about 40% of them Black \u2014 for just over a year, the sheriff said. <\/span><\/p>\n

According to the FBI affidavit, Griggers also discussed \u201ckilling liberal politicians\u201d with other members of the text group, writing they could \u201cmake it look like Muslims\u201d were responsible. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This is only the tip of the iceberg, and I am not just talking about the Wilkinson County sheriff’s department.<\/p>\n

Police departments across the nation are objectively pro-white supremacist.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
