The mock valentine underscores     problematic and racist perceptions of law enforcement culture regarding the     communities we are sworn to protect and serve.\u201dGasc\u00f3n     <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GeorgeGascon\/status\/1361386951346057217\">hailed<\/a>    LAPD leadership for swiftly investigating and also     <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GeorgeGascon\/status\/1361381072093675522\">tweeted<\/a>    that his office \u201cwill be looking into this matter to determine if the     integrity of any of our cases may have been compromised by biased police     work\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The LAPD police chief,     <a href=\"https:\/\/lapdonline.org\/lapd_command_staff\/comm_bio_view\/7646\">Michel Moore<\/a>, earlier announced an internal examination of the situation and said     investigators would try to determine how the image may have come into the     workplace and who may have been involved, the Los Angeles Times     <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/california\/story\/2021-02-13\/lapd-employee-posts-photo-of-george-floyd-with-caption-you-take-my-breath-away\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Moore said the officer who made the complaint would be     interviewed on Monday and added: \u201cOur investigation is to determine the     accuracy of the allegations while also reinforcing our zero tolerance for     anything with racist views.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Here is hoping that the ratf%$#s behind this get nailed to the wall.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Celebrating the murder of a Black man at the hands of police demonstrates a profound absence of humanity.
