Translation houfajiao (Hou4 Fa1 Jiao4) = literally Post-Fermentation (后发酵 or 後發酵), the process of “ripening” by which dried mao cha is converted into aged sheng pu’ercha or, more quickly, shu pu’ercha or heicha. Note: there's a Chinese typo for this that sometimes comes up (后髮酵)
