Shortly after I bought the Suzuki, I put studded tires on it. They were cheaper than studless tires, and should have worked “well enough”. They didn’t.

See, the suzuki has several flaws, as I’ve now discovered.

  • The wheelbase is very short.
  • The engine has plenty of power in a very small band of revs, and none everywhere else.
  • The transmission is archaic and likes to shift at the worst possible moment.

These factors combined while I was driving out of town, where I hit a patch of ice and spun. Nobody got hurt and the car is easily repairable.

My pride, however is not.
