This is a repost-originally posted to Facebook. But I’d rather it not be there, so I’m putting it here for safe keeping. It’s a bit dated at this point (some of the points are no longer accurate).

So I got tagged with the “25 random things”.

The rules are: Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, its because I want to know more about you.

However, I always like to be a rebel without a cause, so I’m not going to play by the rules. If you read this and are inspired to post your own 25 random things about yourself, feel free. If not, that’s ok too.

  1. I am a pessimist by nature. This is ok though, I am often pleasantly surprised when things turn out better than I expect.
  2. I am an atheist. I am trying really hard to not let this define me.
  3. I have a utilikilt; when the weather isn’t too cold, I wear it too.
  4. I once watched WSU football on a 19” TV at 6 AM in a Honolulu apartment
  5. I worry a lot about my little brother and his family. I’m also very proud of him.
  6. I am very impatient when I have to wait for machines. I’d like to think I’m more patient with people, but probably not.
  7. I’ve walked on 2 week old lava, flown in and over Waialeale, but haven’t yet seen Haleakala at sunrise.
  8. Rain depresses me.
  9. Despite that, more than any other country, I want to see Scotland.
  10. When traveling, I often enjoy the trip as much as I do the destination
  11. I don’t see a lot of movies, not because I don’t want to watch, but because I don’t want to watch alone. Sitting in a dark room with random strangers and not talking is better when you do it with a friend.
  12. I used to listen to both kinds of music. Country and Western. Now, I don’t care for most of it.
  13. I took a year of Japanese at Grays Harbor College. All I can remember now is ‘watashiwa skoshi nihongoo benkyoshimasu.’ or other similarly uselesss things. I’d try to relearn, but my best books were stolen my freshman year at WSU.
  14. I need my friends more than they know.
  15. I am very sensitive about getting older and don’t like to admit it’s actually happening
  16. Except for my grandfather’s funeral, I haven’t missed a WSU home football game in 3 years.
  17. I drink Gin and Whisky (Scotch). Tequila and I agreed to avoid each other long ago.
  18. I enjoy flying
  19. In my life, I’ve only lived in two towns
  20. Since I got my passport, I’ve not been out of the country. Not even Canada.
  21. I never played any sports in High School, but was a part of a knowledge bowl team that “almost made state”. I’m not even sure if that means anything.
  22. I am not in my HS senior yearbook.
  23. I get lost every time I go to Portland Oregon
  24. I have personally asked the director of the Art Museum/WSU to get rid of the ugly blue heart (or at least hide it).
  25. Every time I drive west, at the top of the Cascade passes, I always roll down the windows and breath in deeply “to smell the trees”. Rain, shine, wind, or snow… I can’t help myself.
