I’ve been wearing a tie every Monday, just to get a chance to wear them. Some are quite tacky, some aren’t.

Today’s tie was to come from the McDougall collection, a tie of the ‘Ancient Stuart’ pattern. It is made of the finest Prestley’s nor-east non-crush materials and is imported. I don’t know where it is imported from, or what noncrush materials it is made of (I’d like to think Scotland and wool). Unfortunately, I am quite a bit taller than my grandfather was, so this tie, like the other Scottish ties he’s given me is too short.

Instead, I am wearing a tie I purchased at a Highland Games in Enumclaw a few years ago. It is 100% new wool (so it is not recycled), labeled as made in Scotland, and sports the McDougall pattern.
