Earth is an application that displays a rotating Earth. Earth Day (April 22) is only once a year. Do something for our planet *every* day. Included in this are two versions of Earth: Earth.pkg is a "fat" version that contains both black and white and grayscale images. It will display grayscale images on grayscale models and black and white images on black and white models.

Hayes C. Haugen used Photoshop to mock-up a couple pictures -- The images are smaller than 480x320 and are using only 16 levels mapped to what a backlit screen would look like. These images are within the bounds of what the MP 2000 and the eMate 300 can display.
- PALMEDIA Media Transfer
PALMEDIA Media Transfer 2.0 - a MAJOR update to PALMEDIA Image Transfer. This Macintosh HyperCard stack allows you to convert and transfer PICT, JPEG, QuickTime movies, and small System 7 sound files directly to the Newton. You can then use PALMEDIA Player 2.3 (included) to view the images and movies (and also hear the sound file). Requires Steve Weyer's Slurpee package running on the Newton.

- Pict2Pkg 0.23
Pict2Pkg is very easy application for transfering a PICT file into Newton as a package. Just Drag&Drop a PICT file into the Pict2Pkg app, so you will get Black&White Newton size window. After checking the layout, select 'Save as Package' from "File" menu.(or type Command-S). Then, you get another dialog which ask you "Package Name" and "Signature" for your PICT package. "Package Name" means a package name that will appear in the Extras Drawer. "Signature" means the signature name that w ill appear in "erase package" window. You may just keep "Signature" as "p2p020". Then click "OK" button. You will get "Save file dialog". Save it. Finally, just transfer your PICT pkg into your Newton.
