• Battering Ram Pro
  This is a security-break program. If you load it onto a card and put the card into a locked newton running the 2.0 OS, you'll be able to bypass the PIN Prompt. If you then open the app in the extras drawer, you can turn off the prompt, remove the PIN altogether, or even crack the code for later use (this does take a long time, even as a native function.). -- Freeware

• MasterKey
  MasterKey is a small Newton Extension that adds functionality to the existing Newton password/PIN protection. The extension adds a "MasterKey" Preference to the general Newton Prefs after it is installed. The MasterKey extension is most useful for vertical markets and System administrators who have to control a number of Newtons which need to be password protected for their data but also have the need for the users to be able to change their own PINs in the normal way (i.e. in Security in the Newton Prefs).
• nCrypt
  nCrypt provides "strong" encryption for Newton objects including notes and names. This shareware version of nCrypt provides password protection for Newton objects and is intended for use as a personal privacy utility. nCrypt directly encrypts notes, names, and many other Newton objects. In addition to encrypting text, nCrypt can directly encrypt objects, thus it can capture styles, drawings, and other information. NOTE: To comply with ITAR regulations, this shareware version limits keys to 40 bits of effective keylength. Registered users receive an unlimited version, which provides 160 bits of effective keylength.

• PassKey
  PassKey is a simple encryption and decryption program -- It allows you to encrypt sensitive information you may have such as bank account number, PINs, etc. Using it is as simple as selecting an encryption key and pressing a button. You can use the main program to process text, or you can always access PassKey from the status bar which allows you to encrypt in place either the current selection, or current note. PassKey will also generate a random key for you if you desire.

  1.8K BinHex. Places a button in the notepad that you can use to activate/deactivate the Password screen.
• PrivateAccess
  A utility for storing credit card numbers, PIN numbers, and other extremely sensitive information. Use the 10 fields, whose titles are editable, to store data which is only visible when the proper password is typed into the keypad at the bottom of the screen. Use the Change Password button to change the passcode, which can be any set of numbers of any length. -- Freeware
• Protektor
  Protektor will allow you to password protect applications on your Newton, preventing unwanted access to your data. Anytime a password proected application is opened, a window will first appear, asking for the password. If the correct password is entered, the window will close and the application will open. If not, the application will remain closed.

• TimeLock
  TimeLock is a password enchancement for you Newton. You set a delay of when the password is required. TimeLock allows you to have the PIN set to Always require password without having to enter it everytime you turn on your Newton. You choose a delay setting then you can turn off an on your Newton as often as you like within that delay. After the Newton has been off for longer than the delay then it will require you to enter the PIN again. This makes working with your Newton thru out the day less cumbersome. -- Shareware
