Boru is a two-system polity. Boru, the main system, is a very rich world. Boru has a well developed orbital industrial base, but is somewhat short of material. Most of the mass available for planetary bodies has been swept up into Nautila, a massive brown drawf. Only Boru itself, and a handful of asteroids are not part of Nautila. Even a small asteroid population can supply material for a very long time,though, and the viability of Boru for colonization made it one of the first systems in the Catacombs to be settled. A few hundred years ago, the dwinding supply of new asterioids to mine led the Boruians to establish a colony at Boru Zok, which is the nearest system to Boru, only two jumps away. Unfortunately, it's a long normal-space trip between the wormholes, both in deep space. A five jump route, passing through junction has been found, which saves time for most cargos.

Boru has a population of about 6 billion; about 5.5 billion on Boru, and 500 million in orbit, either around Boru, or Nautila, or the dwindling number of asteroid mines. Population is shrinking, as Boru Zok sucks away adventure seeking youth.
